Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Greece

15 March, 2016

 On March 15, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is in Athens within the delegation headed by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, met Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Greece attached importance to high-level political dialogue, high-level mutual visits between two friendly peoples and states.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation within international organizations, fostering of cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two states, activation of inter-agency consultations.

Ministers Nalbandian and Kotzias reflected on the results of the 5th session of Armenian-Greek Inter-Governmental Committee, held in the previous week in Athens.

During the meeting, thoughts were exchanged on Armenia-European Union relations, cooperation within that framework.

At the meeting, pressing international and regional issues were touched upon.
