Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Mr. Tigran Mkrtchyan, with the Chairman of Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the Greek Parliament.

On November 16, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Mr. Tigran Mkrtchyan met with the Chairman of Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs of the of the Greek Parliament, Mr. Konstantinos Gioulekas.

During the meeting, the interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to advancing and deepening the high level  bilateral relations, starting from active political dialogue to cooperation in defense, inter-parliamentary diplomacy, education, culture and other fields, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation in international platforms.

They exchanged ideas on regional and international developments, touched upon current challenges and agreed to continue joint efforts in the direction of mutually supporting each other's positions on international platforms.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented to the Greek MP the situation in the region following the Azerbaijan aggression, as well as the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.  Armenian Ambassador emphasized that it is extremely important to make urgent appeals to all international structures, as well as to take concrete actions, condemning the inadmissibility of Azerbaijan's aggression and its consequences, with the aim of preventing them in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening and strengthening bilateral cooperation agenda.
