Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan’s Meeting with Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasani in Tirana

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Albania (residence in Athens), Tigran Mkrtchyan, met in Tirana with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the regional developments and the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiation process, as well as the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative proposed by the Armenian government.

The Albanian Foreign Minister welcomed Ambassador Mkrtchyan and recalled his interactions with his Armenian counterpart during international events, also expressing readiness to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations.

Details regarding the upcoming European Political Community summit, to be held in Albania in May, were discussed.

The discussion also touched upon the small but organized Armenian community in Albania, which was noted as potentially playing a bridging role in the development of bilateral relations.

The Honorary Consul of Armenia in Albania, Varuzhan Piranian, also participated in the meeting.
