Meeting of Ambassador Mkrtchyan with Vassilis Oikonomou in the Hellenic Parliament

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the new head of the Greece-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Hellenic Parliament, Vassilis Oikonomou (from the ruling "New Democracy" party).

During the meeting, discussions were held on the importance of utilizing the tools of parliamentary diplomacy between the two friendly countries, activating communication between the friendship groups, and organizing mutual visits.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the current high level of Armenia-Greece bilateral relations, as well as the upcoming events and visits planned in the near future. In this context, the Ambassador proposed organizing reciprocal visits between the friendship groups in the near term — a proposal that received a positive response from the Greek parliamentarian.
