Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia Visits Acropolis Museum and Archaeological Museum of Athens

The working visit of the delegation led by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, to Greece continues. The delegation visited the Acropolis Museum and the Archaeological Museum of Athens.

Accompanied by the Director of the Acropolis Museum, Nikolaos Stampolidis, the Armenian delegation toured the museum and explored its exhibitions.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation in the museum sector, particularly the implementation of joint projects with the History Museum of Armenia regarding Hellenistic and Early Christian periods.

Minister Andreasyan noted that the History Museum of Armenia already has successful experience collaborating with prestigious international museums and organizing joint exhibitions.

Subsequently, the Armenian delegation visited the Archaeological Museum of Athens. The museum's director, Kostas Nikolaidos, introduced the delegation members to the experience of Greece's leading museums, innovative solutions in organizing exhibitions, and their digitization programs.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan remarked that Greece’s museums have exceptional expertise and global recognition, which could be beneficial for the development and modernization of Armenian museums.

The possibility of exchanging experiences regarding training programs for museum professionals, virtual access to exhibitions, and the use of digital technologies was discussed during the visit.
