24 July, 2025

As part of her official visit to Greece, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, also visited the National Technical University of Athens.

During a meeting with the University Rector, Ioannis Chatjigeorgiou, issues regarding bilateral cooperation in higher education and science were discussed.

Minister Andreasyan expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, emphasizing that the visit to Greece has been productive in terms of sectoral cooperation, especially considering that a program for cooperation in education and science between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia and the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports of Greece for 2025-2029 has been signed.

The Rector of the National Technical University of Athens thanked the Minister for her visit, emphasizing their interest in developing cooperation with Armenian universities.

The parties discussed opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, as well as the implementation of joint research projects, particularly under the framework of the EU Erasmus+ program.

After the meeting, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, accompanied by Rector Ioannis Chatjigeorgiou, toured the university’s laboratories, familiarizing herself with the modern technical equipment and ongoing research activities.
