Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets with Deputy Governor of Crete, Georgia Milaki

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with Georgia Milaki, Deputy Governor of the Region of Crete.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to interregional cooperation with Armenia. Ambassador Mkrtchyan noted that a significant number of Armenian tourists visit Crete annually compared to other regions of Greece. However, the number of tourists from Crete and Greece to Armenia remains relatively modest, and there is considerable work to be done in that direction, including by tourism companies.

At the same time, the importance of economic cooperation was emphasized, taking into account Crete's level of economic development and the high quality of its agricultural products.

They also discussed the implementation of joint cultural programs with Crete, particularly the potential for joint exhibitions and other cultural events aimed at enhancing Armenia’s tourism appeal.
