Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Visits the Loverdos Museum, Part of the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, Tigran Mkrtchyan, visited the Loverdos Museum, which is part of the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Athens.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan, together with the museum’s Director General, Ms. Ekaterini Delaporta, toured the Loverdos Museum and became acquainted with its exceptional exhibits.

During their private conversation, they discussed possibilities for organizing joint events in cooperation with the Embassy in the near future. The establishment and development of inter-museum collaboration with Armenia was also a key topic of discussion.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan highlighted the recent agreements made with Greece in this area, which were reached during the official visit of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, to Athens.

Ms. Delaporta warmly recalled the two major exhibitions previously held at their museum on Armenian cultural themes, both of which were met with great success.
