Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets with the Rector of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Rector of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Kyriakos Anastasiadis.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mkrtchyan highly appreciated the more than two decades of cooperation between Aristotle University and Yerevan State University, including within the framework of the “Jason” program. The Ambassador noted that the program has recently been successfully relaunched and proposed expanding its scope to include not only students but also members of the academic staff.

At the same time, opportunities for initiating cooperation with a number of faculties were discussed.

The Ambassador presented in detail the intensive cooperation recorded recently between Armenia and Greece in the field of education, as well as the Embassy’s collaboration with other Greek educational institutions.

The meeting was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Thessaloniki, Akis Dagazian.
