"Sumgait 1988: 35 years later", is the title of a virtual exhibition dedicated to the memory of the victims of Sumgait pogrom.
On February 24, 2023, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic and exclusively on the popular website exhibbit.com a temporary virtual exhibition entitled "Sumgait 1988: 35 years later" was launched.
The exhibition is in three languages - English, Greek and Russian, and is dedicated to the pogrom in the city of Sumgait of Azerbaijan committed against Armenians. The virtual exhibition, consisting of four main sections, is based on archival materials.
The first part of the exhibition presents the pogrom's prehistory against Armenians which took place in late February of 1988 in the city of Sumgait of Azerbaijan. In the second part are presented the death certificates of some of the victims, while in the third and fourth parts of the exhibition the comments of outstanding personalities, foreign press and international organizations are included.
The virtual exhibition can be seen via the link below and will be available till March 21, 2023.
