Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan’s Meeting with Larissa Deputy Mayor Thomas Retsianis

During his visit to Larissa, the administrative center of Greece’s Thessaly region, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Deputy Mayor responsible for cultural relations, Thomas Retsianis.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan discussed with Mr. Retsianis the possibilities of establishing cooperation with various regions of Armenia as well as with cultural institutions in the capital.

In the field of culture, Deputy Mayor Retsianis highlighted the significance of puppet theatre and invited Armenia’s National Puppet Theatre to participate in the puppet theatre festival organized in Larissa.

At the same time, the sides discussed the possibilities of Armenian participation in Larissa’s film festivals. Mutual interest was also expressed in establishing links between educational institutions, particularly at the level of medical and musical schools.
