Ambassador Mkrtchyan Meets with the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry

20 November, 2025

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yannis Bratakos.

During the meeting, the prospects for developing bilateral economic and business relations were discussed, particularly in light of the excellent relations enjoyed by Armenia and Greece in the political, defense, cultural, educational, and a number of other fields, with cooperation continuing to expand across all areas.

Reference was made to the Memorandum of Cooperation signed last year between Enterprise Armenia and Enterprise Greece, which was noted as an important foundation for further collaboration.

The Ambassador presented sectors of investment interest for Armenia, including high technologies, renewable energy, manufacturing, construction and infrastructure development, as well as agriculture. It was noted that targeted and tangible cooperation with Greece is realistic in several of these areas.

The importance of intensifying contacts between business communities in sectors of mutual interest was discussed, and agreement was reached on organizing reciprocal business missions, particularly in the fields of high technologies, infrastructure development, and the food industry.
