Meeting of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia with the Director of the Institute of International Relations

On December 10, in Athens, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Davit Karapetyan held a meeting with the Director of Greece’s leading research center “Institute of International Relations” Ino Afentouli.

During the meeting, Davit Karapetyan and Ino Afentouli exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening the Armenia–EU partnership, as well as on the broad agenda of Armenia–Greece bilateral relations.

The interlocutors also addressed regional and global geopolitical developments of mutual interest. In this context, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia briefed his interlocutor on the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington, Armenia’s efforts aimed at the further institutionalization of the peace established as a result of those agreements, the dynamics of the Armenia–Turkey normalization process, as well as the preparatory works underway for the 2026 European Political Community Summit to be held in Yerevan, the “Yerevan Dialogue” forum, and the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.

Issues related to possible formats and prospects for further cooperation were also discussed.
