Ambassador Mkrtchyan Holds Talks with the Leadership of the Anima Syros International Animation Festival

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with Vasilis Karamitsanis, President of the “Anima Syros” International Animation Festival, and Danae Vardali, the Festival Coordinator.

The meeting focused on issues related to the participation of Armenian animated films in the aforementioned festival, as well as opportunities for closer cooperation with Armenia. At the same time, the possibilities for Greek animated films to participate in Armenia’s “ReAnimania” International Animation Film Festival were also discussed.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the initiatives undertaken and currently underway aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of culture.

The meeting emphasized that a strong foundation for cooperation in this field is provided by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the National Cinema Center of Armenia and the Greek Film Centre during the visit of Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, to Athens in 2025.
