Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Discusses Opportunities to Expand Armenia-Greece Economic Cooperation

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with Haris Theoharis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece responsible for Economic Diplomacy.

The meeting focused on opportunities for further developing bilateral economic relations.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the Autonomous Trade Measures (ATMs) proposed by the European Union to Armenia, which create entirely new conditions for Armenian exports to EU markets and further contribute to the strengthening of Armenia-EU relations.

Deputy Minister Theoharis welcomed the results of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia and emphasized that Greece has supported and continues to support the further deepening of Armenia-EU relations through all available means.

The Deputy Minister and the Armenian Ambassador also discussed ways to introduce Armenian products to Greek importers and distributors.
