Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets with Chief Parliamentary Representative of Greece’s Ruling Party, Mr. Dimitris Kairidis

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with Mr. Dimitris Kairidis, Chief Parliamentary Representative of Greece’s ruling New Democracy party in the Hellenic Parliament.

During the meeting, the Ambassador presented the provisions of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement pre-signed in Washington in August, its prospects for implementation, the regional importance of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, and recent developments in Armenia–Turkey relations.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan also discussed with Mr. Kairidis the unprecedentedly high level of Armenia–EU relations.

Both sides noted with satisfaction the growing dynamics of Armenia-Greece relations, including the deepening and diversification of their substance. The Ambassador also referred to upcoming high-level bilateral visits.

Mr. Kairidis emphasized the need to intensify inter-parliamentary contacts and highlighted the importance of taking concrete steps in that direction.
