Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets Representatives of the Michalis Kakoyannis Foundation

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with Xenia Kaldara, President of the Michalis Kakoyannis Foundation, and Alexandra Georgopoulou, Head of the Foundation’s Artistic Department.

The Ambassador of Armenia expressed his gratitude to the Foundation for its cooperation with the Embassy of Armenia in Greece in organizing and holding the “Parajanov Days” event in 2024, as well as for the joint events planned for 2025 dedicated to one of the world’s first female diplomats, Diana Abgar — the diplomatic representative of the First Republic of Armenia to Japan from 1919 to 1921.

The Ambassador presented the recent active cooperation between Armenia and Greece in various cultural fields.

Representatives of the Kakoyannis Foundation presented several programs implemented by the Foundation and proposed new joint multifaceted cultural initiatives, which Ambassador Mkrtchyan warmly welcomed with appreciation.
