Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets Coordinator of the Greek Prime Minister’s Office in Thessaloniki

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met in Thessaloniki with Giannis Papageorgiou, Coordinator of the Office of the Prime Minister of Greece in Thessaloniki.

The Ambassador presented details of his visit to Thessaloniki, highlighting the prospects for the development of cultural, educational, and economic programs with the region of Macedonia and Thrace, and elaborated on ongoing initiatives. He also expressed hope that interregional relations would achieve tangible progress in the near future. At the same time, the current level of relations at the high political level, as well as recent and planned visits, were outlined.

Giannis Papageorgiou presented the recent economic progress recorded in the region, as well as business initiatives and development prospects, including in the field of tourism. The importance of Armenia’s continued participation in Thessaloniki’s economic exhibitions was also emphasized.

The meeting was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Thessaloniki, Akis Dagazian.
