Poghosyan described the memorandum as an important achievement, noting that it marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation between the two institutions. He recalled that the Director General of the Acropolis Museum visited Yerevan last year, when prospects for future cooperation were outlined. According to Poghosyan, the first major joint initiative will be an exhibition scheduled to open in the fall at the Acropolis Museum.More than 100 exhibits from the History Museum of Armenia related to the pre-Christian period will be displayed.

History Museum Director Poghosyan noted that the platform, which welcomes more than one million visitors annually from Greece and around the world, provides an opportunity to present Armenia’s rich historical and cultural heritage to a broad international audience.

Director General of the Acropolis Museum also described the memorandum as an important step, emphasizing that the cooperation will create opportunities to present Armenia on the museum’s platform.

He noted that Armenian civilization is often associated with the period following the adoption of Christianity, and said the upcoming exhibition aims to highlight Armenia’s pre-Christian heritage for the museum’s millions of visitors.
