Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Meets with the Rector of the International Hellenic University

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Rector of the International Hellenic University, Professor Stamatis Angelopoulos.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for establishing cooperation between the university and Armenian educational institutions.

Professor Konstantinos Diamantaras, Vice Rector for International Relations, presented the university’s academic programs. It was emphasized that the university, operating across four different campuses in Greece, offers the largest number of English-language academic programs in the country.

Ambassador Mkrtchyan highlighted the increasingly active cooperation between Armenia and Greece in the field of education in recent years and presented the Embassy’s cooperation initiatives with various university centers in Greece. The importance of the comprehensive cooperation agreement signed between Armenia and Greece in the field of education in 2025 was also emphasized, as it creates broad opportunities for developing substantial exchanges in this area.

Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Thessaloniki, Akis Dagazian, also participated in the meeting.
