13 July, 2026

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Albania, Tigran Mkrtchyan (residence: Athens), met with Igli Hasani, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Parliament of Albania and former Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of Armenia–Albania bilateral relations, the establishment of interparliamentary ties, and opportunities for creating new formats of cooperation.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to Igli Hasani for Albania’s support in holding the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan and presented the latest developments on Armenia’s foreign policy agenda, including the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process, the normalization of Armenia–Turkey relations, and Armenia- Europe ties.

Igli Hasani welcomed the initiative to intensify interparliamentary cooperation and expressed readiness to contribute to establishing contacts with the relevant committees of the National Assembly of Armenia. He also emphasized the importance of existing direct air connectivity between the two countries, the liberalized visa regime, trade and economic relations, and business ties.
