Armenia and Albania Advance Cooperation in Education and Science

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Albania, Tigran Mkrtchyan (residence: Athens), met with Albania’s Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Mrs. Orjana Osmani.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and science. Ambassador Mkrtchyan proposed strengthening direct ties between Armenian and Albanian universities and research and educational institutions through student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, the development of educational programs, as well as participation in the Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programs.

The discussion also covered cooperation and the exchange of experience in STEM and digital education, the professional development of teachers, the application of artificial intelligence, and its integration into educational curricula. Ambassador Mkrtchyan also presented the experience of the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation with the TUMO center operating in Tirana.

The interlocutors also discussed establishing a legal and contractual framework for cooperation in the fields of education, science, and sports.

The sides agreed to continue working toward establishing practical cooperation in the fields of education and science.
