The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, held a meeting with Lysandros Tsilidis, President of the Federation of Hellenic Associations of Tourist and Travel Agencies (FedHATTA).

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for developing tourism cooperation between Armenia and Greece, as well as promoting bilateral tourist flows.

The interlocutors exchanged views on balancing tourist flows between the two countries and establishing direct links between Armenian and Greek travel agencies and tour operators.

Mr. Tsilidis welcomed the initiative of the Armenian side and proposed, as a first step, establishing an institutional framework for cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the relevant professional associations. He also suggested organizing online B2B meetings and considering Armenia’s continued participation in the international tourism exhibition “Philoxenia”, held in Thessaloniki, in which Armenia already participates.

The two sides agreed to continue their cooperation with the aim of implementing joint initiatives that will contribute to the development of bilateral tourism.
